Tanning Clinics – Is it safe?

Sunless tanning are in demand nowadays.  If you don’t want to be exposed to too much sun but still want that sun-kissed glow then it’s the right thing for you. However, is it really safe to choose indoor tanning?

When natural sunlight is hard to be seen, it might be tempting to replace time in the sun with a quick visit to a tanning bed.  But does tanning clinics provide the same healthy benefits as sunlight?  Particularly, are tanning beds a safe source of vitamin D?

Tanning salons might like you to believe they are. Don’t be fooled and be cautious. Tanning indoors is not a good source of vitamin D. The reason is because of the harmful characteristics and effects of ultraviolet light rays, and the effects they have on the body.

Tanning salons are more concerned with UVA rays.  These UVA rays create the bronze-brown tan coveted by most salon-goers.  Most tanning salons regulate their beds to emit approximately 95% of UVA rays. It maximizes the tanning effects of the booth and minimizes the risk of burning. Unfortunately, it also minimizes the amount of vitamin D that can be used in proportion to the exposure to damaging UVA rays.

There are also studies that explain that indoor tanning devices increased risk of melanoma, the most serious form of skin cancer. So before trying or considering indoor tanning, be aware of the benefits it can give your skin and your body.

It is still advisable to just go to the beach, wear a bikini and get natural tan. Spending time in the sun can supply the body with vitamin D which is essential in helping to defend against depression, heart disease, stroke, cancer and osteoporosis.

Natural way is still the best way.

Black – This color is known for elegance, authority and respect.  Most businessmen choose this color as a sign of power and morale.  Classic and sophistication are how businesswomen describe it.  As most fashion experts say, every woman should own at least one little black dress and that black is the most slimming color (same goes with a black bikini too!).

Blue – Blue is most worn by those looking to create their own aura of serenity.  Since it is the most recognized color because of the sea and the sky, it is therefore associated with calmness making people feel peaceful and content.

Green - It is widely known as the color of nature and healing.  Green is usually worn by those who are calm in nature and have the desire to help others around them.  It also represents growth and wealth, so if you are looking to restart your life, green is your choice of color.

Pink – This color is recognized as a feminine color.  It is the best color for women in all types of clothes, from intimates, to summer dresses up to skimpy bikinis.  A pastel pink is good to wear on a first date as it shows the other person that you're capable of being romantic and in love.

As we all can see, colors do have a bang on people's perception and everyone has different opinions.   So stop making the wrong impression and just do what is most important and wear what makes you feel comfortable and happy.
